BECOME A MEMBER OF PHI PSI
Joining a fraternity at the University of Oklahoma makes collegiate life more meaningful. The Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity has been at OU since 1920 and offers brotherhood, alumni mentorship and internship opportunities, leadership development, intramural athletic competition, social activities, community service, and academic support for their members. Brothers develop a strong sense of belonging to their organization and loyalty to OU through the Greek community. Membership is lifelong and Phi Psi has a strong and active alumni presence at the national and local level who are involved with the chapter. Rushing a fraternity can be an exciting time, but can also be overwhelming. In the end, remember to select a fraternity that feels like home. We know that home will be at Phi Psi.
As you go through rush, here are some tips to help determine which fraternity is right for you:
- Be yourself
- Evaluate who provides the most opportunity
- Beware of those who belittle others
- Tour of the fraternity chapter house
- Determine who is being genuine

“I joined Phi Psi because it actually means something and it is authentic. You’re not just another face in the crowd—you’ll actually know the guys you’re with as we grow our fraternity. Our fraternity also offers more than just the social aspects that everyone else tries to provide. The alumni of our chapter and national fraternity make sure we’re set on the right path after college. If you want a brotherhood that feels personal, where you can grow professionally, have fun, and make the most of your college experience, this is it. Joining Phi Psi was easily the best decision I made since coming to OU.”
